An Historical Document For The Festival That Never Was!

Well, we never thought it would happen but for the first time in 54 years we have had to cancel the Surrey Festival of Dance 2020!  Before the decision to cancel the festival was made on March 31, 2020 we had hoped the festival would continue and as a result of that positive thinking we printed our beautiful 230 page programme with the complete list of dancers, disciplines, studios, dances to be performed, awards to be received and of course our incredible corporate sponsors and supporters.

Since our notice to cancel was issued, we have had a number of inquiries asking us for the books as a memento of what-could-have-been.  Whether it was because parents wanted one because their child’s name is in it, or a studio wanting one as a record of their students in 2020, or others who want it because it is a historical document of the festival being cancelled for the first time in our 54 year history…whatever the reason…we have been pleasantly surprised by those wanting a souvenir of this unprecedented time we find ourselves in.

So the SFD executive has decided to make this book available to those who wish to obtain a copy.  The cost of the book is $15 dollars and that includes shipping!  Your purchase will also allow for the SFD to recoup some expenses incurred up to the point the festival was cancelled.  This in turn will allows us to award even more scholarships and bursaries as we move forward in the years to come.
